Speakers are rarely placed under ideal conditions. On a desk, shelf or rack, they transmit their energy directly into the surface - and in return receive its resonances as echoes. The result is called smear: internal reflections that overlap identically in both channels and collapse the stereo sound image into the middle. Bass loses contour, mids become undifferentiated and the depth of the room collapses. The IsoAcoustics Aperta series interrupts this cycle with patented polymer isolators in a cast aluminum frame - and thus provides one of the most effective speaker solutions that the accessories segment has to offer.

IsoAcoustics is a Canadian specialist in acoustic isolation solutions whose products have been metrologically tested and awarded by the National Research Council of Canada (NRC). The Aperta series comprises three models that clearly differ in terms of footprint, load capacity and intended use: the Aperta for compact bookshelf speakers, the Aperta 200 for larger and heavier compact speakers and the Aperta 300 for center speakers and wider stands. All three share the same isolation technology and philosophy - but each with specific dimensions and capacities that enable precise selection.

When a loudspeaker plays, its cabinet resonates. This energy is transferred to the surface on which it is placed and travels back as a vibration - as an identical mirror signal in both channels. The brain localizes this echo in the middle of the room and perceives it as a smearing of the sound image. The Aperta isolators are embedded in the top and bottom of the aluminum frame and absorb this energy in both directions simultaneously: from the speaker to the surface and vice versa. In addition, there is a controlled suction cup effect on the surfaces: at the top it holds the speaker securely on the stand, at the bottom it fixes the stand reliably on the installation surface - without additional fastening, repositionable at any time.

The result is clear and immediate in practice: Bass becomes more precise and sharper in contour, the mid-range gains transparency and the stereo image opens up in depth. Trade media unanimously report a reduced noise level and improved spatial separation. For optimum effect, IsoAcoustics recommends aligning the logo on the stand with the listening position - the isolators are designed to focus the driver energy in this direction.

All three Aperta models have the same integrated tilt adjustment of ±6.5° with fine degree markings. In the near field - on a desk or low console - the tweeter of a compact speaker typically sits below ear level. Even a few degrees off-axis will cost audible high-frequency presence and clarity. The Aperta enables a stepless tilt upwards or downwards, which can be adjusted reproducibly at any time. The Aperta stands can be used on a desk, shelf, rack, floor or on existing speaker stands - in the latter case as an intermediate layer, which further improves even an already high-quality set-up.

The three models in the Aperta series share the same technology, materials and design language - but differ specifically in terms of footprint, load capacity and sales unit in order to provide optimum support for different types of speakers.

The Aperta Platters (compatible with Aperta and Aperta 200) are the ideal addition for demanding installation conditions - sloping surfaces, textured materials, very smooth painted or glass surfaces. These flat plates increase the effective contact surface of the stand and are permanently fixed to the surface with the enclosed double-sided adhesive tape. This ensures that the tripod remains reliably in place even under difficult positioning conditions.
