Cable lugs
The cable lug connector, also known as a blade terminal or blade receptacle, was developed to provide a reliable and removable electrical connection in vehicles and household appliances. In the 1950s and 1960s, cable lugs became increasingly popular as they allowed easy installation and maintenance of electrical connections. Over time, they were further optimized to safely transmit higher currents and voltages and were widely used in the automotive industry as well as in industrial electrical engineering.
Today, cable lugs are available in various shapes and sizes and remain a fundamental component for electrical connections in many technical fields.
