Neo Ceradisc 45 - Absorber - Neo High End
Enter the world of CERADISC, where perfect technology acts like an artist, gradually shaping and refining the details until a beautiful work of art is created. This is how your musical experience can be shaped to perfection. The sound of the instruments becomes more natural, more detailed and more precise. Our pads, or feet, under the components are this crucial step.
How does it work?
It's true that musical tones are vibrations, but when additional, unwanted vibrations are added, your musical experience is compromised. These unwanted vibrations also affect the electrical components (inducing voltages that are injected into the signal), resulting in inaccuracies and interference in the music you hear.
The perfect shape: The sphere
The sphere is the perfect shape because it only ever rests on the pad at one point, and at another when something flat is placed on it. Physically, it is known that a true point contact is excellent for minimizing vibrations. The material also plays an important role - ceramic with the highest possible hardness, only diamond is harder.
Another secret lies in the material of the pads, their shape and, of course, the precisely calculated placement of the balls. Each CERADISC model is a unique masterpiece of this technology. We always manufacture them with different mounting options. Either you simply place them underneath, for example under an amplifier, or you place the speaker spikes in the recessed version, or we have a model on which you can place your cables.
Model example: CERADISC 45
The CERADISC 45 has three ceramic spheres in one layer. The four pieces of this model can easily support 150 kg, making it suitable for lighter speakers or under audio components.
How the vibration absorption works
Vibration absorption: Ceramic materials have the ability to absorb mechanical energy contained in vibrations. When vibrations reach the pad, the spheres begin to vibrate. This vibration is actually the energy gained from the incoming vibration. The balls absorb this energy and thus reduce the intensity of the transmitted vibration.
Energy diffusion: The ceramic spheres have a solid structure and are separated from each other. When vibrations are transmitted to these spheres, the energy is distributed between them. This process of energy diffusion causes the vibrations to gradually decrease and weaken.
Reflection and diffusion: When vibrations are transmitted, some of the energy can be reflected or diffused in different directions. Ceramic balls have properties that allow this energy to be reflected and diffused efficiently. This disperses the vibrations and reduces their intensity.
Simply put, the ceramic spheres in the anti-vibration pads act as vibration absorbers, absorbing and diffusing the vibration energy, preventing this energy from being transmitted further into the device or surface on which the pads are placed. In this way, they help to improve the overall sound output and minimize the disruptive effects of vibration.
