Even the best hi-fi components don't stand a chance against a poor power supply. And the enemies of a clean mains current lurk everywhere: computers, lamp dimmers and other electrical villains scatter interference components into the home mains. As a result, the transparency of the reproduction suffers, details and dynamics are lost. It seems as if a (gray) veil covers the music.

The Pro-Ject Accu Box S2 provides a remedy for two devices of the S2 line with 5V/DC and 18V/DC power supply. It can be used in battery-only mode or while charging. As a rechargeable battery, it supplies its energy completely independent of the mains supply and thus maximally clean. During the charging process, the separation from the mains is removed - however, the rechargeable batteries then act as a buffer and thus as an effective mains filter. After the batteries have been fully charged, the power supply unit and the charging system are disconnected from the batteries by the microprocessor-controlled automatic charging system. Interference components coming from the mains can no longer affect the sound, and fluctuations in the mains voltage have no effect on the power supply to the connected device. In addition, ground loops are prevented.

Very practical: When the Pro-Ject Accu Box S2 is switched off, devices connected to it are automatically switched off. If the Accu Box S2 is switched on, devices without a stand-by switch, such as the Pro-Ject Pre Box S2 Digital, are also switched on.
