A system is only ever as good as its weakest link - and too often it is the connecting cables that are taken seriously as the last component. Yet it is precisely here that it is decided whether the signal between turntable, DAC, streamer or preamplifier arrives clean and unadulterated: without added warmth, without loss of high frequencies, without hum from poorly shielded cables. At its heart is an inner conductor made of oxygen-free OFC copper - an electrolytically refined material with a reduced oxygen content (less than 0.001%) that has a more homogeneous crystal structure than standard copper. Fewer grain boundaries in the conductor mean fewer internal transition points where the signal can be slightly affected. The signal transmission benefits directly: quieter, cleaner, without the slight veil that cheap cables sometimes cast over the sound image.

The performance of an RCA cable from the inside to the outside determines its suitability for everyday use in a modern system. The Dynavox high-end cable is based on a five-layer sandwich construction made of PET, PVC, aluminum-mylar, LD-PE and a double aluminum foil. Each of these layers performs a specific task: the aluminum layers reflect electromagnetic fields before they reach the inner conductor - particularly relevant in modern living rooms where power supplies, switching power supplies and wireless standards such as WLAN and Bluetooth are everywhere. The result is a black background in the sound image: no hum interference, no HF haze, no disruptive artifacts.

The nitrogen-injected dielectric is a detail that sounds technical at first glance, but is directly tangible in terms of sound: the nitrogen bubbles reduce the effective dielectric constant of the insulation material, bringing the cable closer to the idealized air dielectric. In practice, this means less capacitive interaction between conductor and shielding, faster impulse reproduction and a more transparent high-frequency response. The outer nylon braiding provides reliable protection against mechanical influences, kinks and abrasion - and gives the cable an appearance that is in keeping with its class.

The 24-carat gold plating of the RCA plugs is not a purely visual decision: Gold does not oxidize - and oxidation on plug contacts is one of the most common causes of gradual sound loss over time. Gold-plated contacts remain electrically clean for years and offer a consistently large, homogeneous contact surface on the socket. The high-performance strain relief at the cable outlet protects the sensitive soldered and clamped connection inside the plug from mechanical stress - a decisive advantage over more simply manufactured cables when frequently reconnecting or occasionally rearranging the system.

The set is supplied in a high-quality hard cardboard box with a viewing window - well thought-out packaging that not only transports the cable safely, but also serves as a storage solution. Anyone who changes the cable occasionally or supplies a second system can store it dust-free and kink-proof.
