Innovative technology & high-quality components

Within the Apertura portfolio, the Armonia Evolution is the first model with a ribbon tweeter. The tweeter used has a size of 8 x 120 mm and is combined with an 18-centimeter bass-midrange driver with an isostatic matrix cone and long-throw voice coil from Norway. Both drivers are specially modified by Apertura. An absorber is integrated into the surface to optimize sound refraction at the edges of the cabinet. The crossover is matched to the individually measured speaker drivers. In addition, the crossover board has a particularly thick copper coating, which enables low-loss signal transmission.

Sophisticated construction & high-quality design

The cabinet wall thickness of the Armonia Evolution is 21 mm and is based on the basic shape of the flagship model Enigma Mk 2. The base plate with central spike has a thickness of 39 mm. The front and rear panels are angled and the side panels are convex and of different lengths. These design features not only ensure an attractive appearance, but also increased stability and the reduction of standing waves inside the loudspeaker. The internal volume is divided into seven damped chambers in which three different damping materials are used. The enclosed speaker cover is mounted on a sturdy wooden frame and magnetically attached to the front.

Optimal amplifier combination & placement

The Armonia Evolution harmonizes perfectly with well-sounding amplifiers that offer good control over the speaker. It also achieves surprisingly good results with modern Class D technology. In France, it is preferably combined with powerful tube amplifiers.

The following positioning principles should be observed for optimum reproduction:

• The ribbon tweeters must be directed inwards.
• The central spike of the base plate provides the main contact with the floor. The four smaller spikes merely prevent tipping. Floor protectors are included in the scope of delivery.
• The optimum distance from the rear wall is around 30 cm. The speaker pair should be angled towards the listener, whereby the distance to the listener should be greater than the distance between the speakers. If this is not feasible, a slight tilt to the rear can help.

This fine adjustment is simple and only takes a few minutes.
