It sounds like voodoo, but it has now been confirmed several times in tests by specialist magazines such as Image Hifi or Hörerlebnis. Damping cables improves the sound.
In addition to vibration decoupling of devices and loudspeakers, bFly-audio has also been experimenting with cable damping for a long time. Power and loudspeaker cables are particularly sensitive to damping measures. But it goes without saying that the phenomenon of microphonics is also an issue here.

In bFly-audio's experience, an essential feature of a good cable is an electromagnetic field that is as homogeneous as possible over the entire length of the cable. We therefore chose wood or POM as the absorber core, as these materials irritate the electromagnetic field of the cables as little as possible and also have a particularly absorbent effect due to their fine amorphous structure.

The choice for the CUBE absorber fell on the wood species "Amasaque", which is mainly found in African coastal areas. Amasaque has a relatively high air content and, which is very important for this type of application, a relatively even grain.
The surface of the wooden body is treated with a natural oil.

Depending on the cable hardness, one CUBE is required for every 30 cm to 50 cm of horizontal cable length. The cable must not touch the floor.

bFly-audio's TOWER absorbers for cables have a vibration-damping body made of the special plastic POM.
This material has proven itself in many areas of the hi-fi scene thanks to its low-resonance properties.

The underside is fitted with an absorber disk made of rubber foam, specially adapted to the relatively light weight of cables.
