Vinyl Accessories · Storage
A record collection is more than mere possessions — it is biography. Every LP stands for a moment, a mood, a decision. Such treasures deserve more than a cardboard box under the bed; they deserve storage that does justice to their importance. The Knosti Archifix-Box Woodline is exactly that: a thoughtfully designed system that brings order, protection and aesthetics together in a form worth displaying — as a deliberate part of the living space, not hidden behind it. Knosti understands this ambition better than anyone: the Archifix-Box was the very first product the Burgheim manufacturer released in 1976, and over one million units have been in use ever since.
The Woodline is the logical evolution of that idea towards greater home compatibility and sustainability. The casing is made from a high-quality poplar wood composite from PEFC-certified timber sourced from responsibly managed forests — a material that convinces not only ecologically, but also through its dimensional stability, robustness and durability. Natural grain patterns and subtle colour variations between individual boxes are not incidental: they make every Woodline a unique piece and an honest commitment to craftsmanship over anonymous industrial plastic.

Modular System
Freely combinable — freestanding, stacked or wall-mounted, with connecting strips included
What sets the Archifix-Box Woodline apart from an ordinary storage box is its system intelligence. Alone it stands stable and looks great. Multiple boxes arranged side by side or stacked — connected via the included linking strips — form a closed shelving unit that reads as a cohesive, composed whole. Knosti recommends using at least three boxes side by side as a base for stacked configurations; up to eight boxes can safely be stacked on top of one another this way.
Those with limited floor space, or who prefer to display their collection at eye level, can make use of the wall mounting via eyelets on the rear panel — clean, practical, no special tools required. The removable centre divider makes installation significantly easier: for wall-mounted use it can be taken out to allow more freedom of movement when placing records. In freestanding use it keeps the records neatly upright and prevents them from leaning to one side.
Vinyl records are sensitive sound carriers — and improper storage leaves permanent damage. The most common mistake: stacking records flat or letting them lean at an angle. Both encourage warps — wave-like deformations that force the stylus into uncontrolled excursions and, in the worst case, permanently distort precious pressings. The Archifix-Box Woodline keeps LPs consistently stored upright — the only position in which a record does not have to resist its own weight.
Ringwear — the unsightly impression a record leaves on its sleeve when stored too tightly — is also a non-issue when the box is filled correctly. Knosti recommends not packing the box to maximum capacity: records should be removable and returnable without force. Anyone using outer protective sleeves should factor this into their capacity planning. And for those who want their Knosti cleaning device always at hand beside the collection: the Woodline is dimensioned so that the Disco-Antistat and Disco-Antistat Generation II PLUS, including accessories, fit perfectly inside.
