Rega's crowd-pleaser still benefits from the technology of the Planar 3. Its RB 110 tonearm has the same precision bearings as those of the RB 330, and the platter bearing is also from its big brother: a brass bearing with optimized adjustment. The new EBLT belt is also used here for the first time. This offers a higher running consistency.

The new Planar is "only" our entry-level model, but the revision to the 2021 version has made it so good that you can hear every improvement immediately.

The wealth of improvements and innovations elevate the Planar 1 far above its competitor models. In terms of price, it's certainly still an "entry-level" turntable; in terms of sonic performance, it's far above.
