Brief description of the pole terminal

The WBT-0735 pole terminal is characterized by its exceptionally good technology and solid construction. Sound interference is minimal due to constantly low contact resistance. This feature is ensured by a two-part clamping nut with a freely rotatable pressure piece and the resulting high contact pressure. The pole terminal also impresses with its elegant design and nickel-free, high-gloss gold plating, which prevents any corrosion. The developers also opted for transparent Makrolon full insulation for all live components. This gives the pole terminal CE and IEC conformity.

A banana plug (4 mm) can be connected in the front part of the two-part clamping nut (patented by WBT). The system is also used to make contact with cable lugs or crimped cable ends. The tensile strength of the connection is generated by the pavement milling of the base of the pressure piece. In addition, shearing of the cable strands is avoided with bare cable ends.

In the area of the internal connection, the pole terminal offers the option of using cables with a maximum conductor cross-section of 10 mm². The manufacturer recommends crimp connection technology for this. They are secured using the enclosed Torx screws and the Torx T.6 key. Alternatively, the connections can also be soldered. Silver solder WBT-0800 is recommended to protect the surface.

The scope of delivery includes installation insulation, which ensures both twist-proof and insulated installation as well as pole identification. The product also contains lock nuts, jigsaw washers and double step washers with lugs. The jigsaw washers are joined together, resulting in exact terminal spacings of 19 mm or 30 mm.

Due to current safety regulations, the 4 mm banana holes must be sealed with the safety stick WBT-0799.
