Since its market launch in 1995, the Black Cube from Lehmannaudio has become an object of desire in all countries of the world. Unique customer satisfaction and countless test reports testify to the qualities of this exceptional device.
Since 2006, the model has been equipped with a completely new circuit board, which has once again significantly improved the sound qualities.
Despite its great success, the Black Cube is still manufactured in small numbers. Lehmannaudio believes that this is always preferable to mass production, which would not do justice to the known strengths and qualities of the phono equalizer.
All RIAA equalization is done passively. Thus the RIAA network is located between two linear amplifier stages. It is largely this design, in conjunction with the careful selection of components, that determines the excellent sound.
Only high quality MKP film capacitors with tight tolerances are used. All resistors are low-noise Metalfilm types. All switches are equipped with gold-plated contacts.
The big advantage of the small dimensions is the fact that the Black Cube can be placed very close to the turntable. This minimizes possible losses due to long cable lengths.
The cable from the audio to the power supply is specially shielded and additionally equipped with Neutrik XLR connectors. Furthermore, non-magnetic metal is used for the housing of the audio section.
