Project Connect It E - RCA RCA cable - 0,41m - Pro-Ject
High-quality cables do not directly improve the sound of your sound system, but they do ensure that every detail and every piece of information in the signal is transmitted to the receiver unaltered. An inferior cable can slow down your entire hi-fi system and act as a bottleneck for your sound experience.
Compare it to a sports car: with poor tires, the car cannot put its performance on the road optimally, even though it has a lot of power. In the same way, first-class turntables and amplifiers need high-quality cables to develop their full potential.
The new Pro-Ject Connect It cable series
The new "Connect It" cable range offers a variety of connection types and technologies as well as different materials for conductors and plugs. With over 30 years of experience in the hi-fi industry, we have developed four cable series that meet all requirements for analog audio systems.
Physics does not lie
Each type of signal transmission places specific demands on the cable. Cables are often indistinguishable from the outside. A standard line cable may look the same as a phono cable, but it is not suitable for the other application.
Pro-Ject only uses high-purity copper and pure silver conductors, as these materials guarantee first-class signal transmission. In addition to the conductor, the dielectric, shielding and processing quality are also decisive.
Materials and technologies
- Conductors: Pro-Ject uses three different conductor materials:
- OFC (99.9% purity)
- OCC (99.999% purity)
- Pure silver, the most expensive and best conductor material available.
- Shielding: Shielding is used to protect the signal lines:
- Copper
- Copper + conductive TPE
- Silver-plated copper + carbon
High-quality shielding is particularly important for phono signals.
- Dielectric: The dielectric determines the capacitance of the cable, which is very important. Air is technically the best dielectric, but difficult to produce.
Pro-Ject uses a polyethylene dielectric for excellent insulation. For DS and RS we use special flexible cellular PE for very low cable capacitance.
High quality materials for a neutral sound
The aim with the "Connect it E" cables was to offer neutral audiophile cables at a reasonable price. High-quality core materials such as copper conductors ensure loss-free signal transmission.
All E-Line connectors, including the True Balanced Mini-XLR connectors, are fitted with gold-plated brass plugs to ensure long-lasting ideal conductivity.
The line and phono cables (with the exception of the True Balanced cables) are semi-balanced, i.e. the shielding is only connected at one end. Therefore, the side marked yellow should always be connected to the receiving end.
