HiFi accessories - Vibration control - Feet - Made in USA
It's one of the most underestimated facts in hi-fi: vibrations don't just damage the turntable - they damage every component. Amplifiers, DACs, phono preamps, power supplies, CD players, bookshelf speakers: all are sensitive to mechanical vibrations caused by speakers, floor transmission and the equipment itself. The microphonic effect in capacitors and coils, the natural resonance of cabinet panels, the interference from the rack - all of these increase the noise floor of the system, making the sound drier, harder, brighter and less detailed than it should be. The MoFi Ultra Low Noise Feet are Mobile Fidelity and Harmonic Resolution Systems' answer to this universal problem: four milled aluminum feet that are the result of three years of joint development work - and a partnership with one of the world's leading experts in vibration isolation from the aerospace industry.
What distinguishes the Ultra Low Noise Feet from simple rubber feet or solid spikes is their operating principle: they were not designed to block or redirect resonances - but to dissipate them, i.e. to convert them into heat and thus permanently remove them from the audio path. The proprietary HRS polymer inside the milled aluminum housing performs this task across the entire audio band - without interfering with the frequency or phase range. The result is a deeper noise floor without changing the sound character: more of what is in the recording - without coloration, rolloff or artificial smoothing. HiFi Choice awarded five stars for this and summed it up succinctly: The feet stay.

How the Ultra Low Noise Feet work
The sound impression of a hi-fi system sounds unnatural when structural vibrations are superimposed on the signal. Speakers generate sound waves that travel through the floor, rack and device housing as mechanical energy - where they manifest themselves as micro-vibrations that impair the function of sensitive electronics. Capacitors and coils react to this with tiny but measurable voltage changes: a phenomenon known as the microphonics effect. Rubber feet block some of this energy - but do not absorb it. Spikes mechanically couple to the base and dissipate vibrations - but create new resonance paths. The HRS polymer inside the ULNF physically absorbs the vibration energy and converts it into heat before it can reach the component.
The decisive factor here is that the ULNFs have a broadband effect across the entire audio band - not just in a narrow frequency range like many isolation spikes or gel feet. And they do so without altering the frequency or phase response: no roll-off in the treble, no shift in the spatial representation, no artificial warmth or coolness. What becomes audible after installation is simply more of what is in the recording: finer textures, a deeper stage, firmer transients and a background so black that it was previously unnoticeable.
Application & weight ranges
The Ultra Low Noise Feet are available in three weight ranges so that the HRS polymer damps in the optimum working range. The weight per set of 4 corresponds to the total load of the component - not the weight per foot. For devices with uneven weight distribution or higher total weight, additional feet can be added to increase capacity. Installation is extremely simple: position the feet, set up the component, align with the spirit level provided - done. No tools, no intervention in the component, no effort. And yet: one of the most effective measures that can improve the sound of an existing system without having to change a single component.
