Brief description of the socket

The WBT-0201 RCA socket has internal insulation made of heat-resistant Teflon (Teflon is a registered trademark of Dupont). This material is an advantage when soldering the connection cables, especially at the higher soldering temperature of lead-free solder.

Particular emphasis was placed on selecting the right material for the external contact: a special copper alloy. This ensures optimum transmission of the signal. In addition, the workpiece is given a nickel-free gold plating (24 carat) in a further production step, which prevents oxidation of the surface and impairment of the contact quality.

For the inner contact, the developers opted for a variant with an active spring contact. In this design, double prism contact surfaces are pressed onto the center pin of the RCA plug by an enclosing bronze spring ring. The result is a reliable contact closure, even when using non-standard RCA plugs or with multiple mating cycles. The inner contact itself consists of pure and highly conductive electrolytic copper, which is also directly gold-plated without nickel.

In addition to the actual product, built-in insulation is also supplied. The advantages of these insulations are: insulated and twist-proof installation and guaranteed pole identification. Lock nuts and double step washers with lugs are also included.
