Record boxes for shipping & storage
Sturdy, precise fit, collector-safe
Vinyl deserves protection – especially in transit and in storage. Our LP boxes offer the right solution for single or multiple records: shock-resistant, stackable and suitable for private and professional use – from record collectors to online retailers.
Safe in transit, safe in storage
Mailer boxes with crush protection and side padding.
Storage boxes with handle holes or hinged lids for larger quantities.
Suitable for LPs with sleeves, gatefolds and box sets.
Fair prices for larger quantities too – for collectors and retailers.
Why the right box matters
Records are delicate: a crushed box quickly means a bent cover, a split seam or even a broken record. Precisely fitting LP boxes stop the records from shifting inside and protect corners and edges. The right packaging is therefore the most important step when you ship, transport or store records.
A precise fit keeps the records in place inside the box.
Crush protection and padding absorb knocks in transit.
No bent corners and no split seams.
Neatly packed records make a good impression on the recipient.
Our LP boxes at a glance
The right solution for every purpose – from a single mailer box to a storage box for the whole collection:
For 1 to 30 LPs, with crush protection and side padding – the safe way to ship by post or parcel service.
For larger quantities, stackable, with handle holes or hinged lids – ideal for archiving and moving house.
For temporary storage or the record fair – quick to assemble.
Plain boxes for any purpose or branded versions for your own look.
For extra protection of the covers in transit, we recommend suitable outer sleeves from our sleeves & protection range.
How to ship records safely
This is how your records arrive safely:
- —Take the record out of the cover: Place the record in its inner sleeve behind or next to the cover. This way it cannot break through the cover seam in transit.
- —Protect the cover: Put the cover in an outer sleeve – this prevents scuffing and moisture damage.
- —Choose the right box: The box should be only slightly larger than the cover. Too much room lets the records shift.
- —Fill empty space: With only a few records, add cardboard inserts or padding so nothing can move.
- —Seal & label properly: Tape the box securely and mark it “Do not bend”. For valuable records, insured shipping is worthwhile.

Frequently asked questions about LP boxes & shipping records
How do I ship records safely?
In a precisely fitting LP mailer box with crush protection. Place the record in its inner sleeve behind the cover, put the cover in an outer sleeve, fill any empty space and mark the box “Do not bend”.
Should the record stay in the cover when shipping?
Better not. If the record is inside the cover, it can split the seam or even break when knocked. Place the record in its inner sleeve behind or next to the cover – that way both are protected.
How many LPs fit in a mailer box?
Our mailer boxes are available for 1 to 30 LPs. Choose the box so that the records neither have room to move nor are squeezed. With only a few records in a larger box, fill empty space with cardboard.
Do gatefolds and box sets fit in the boxes?
Yes. Our LP boxes are suitable for records with sleeves, gatefold covers and box sets. For very thick box sets, check the box's stated capacity.
Do I need extra padding?
Our mailer boxes already have crush protection and side padding. Extra cardboard inserts are worthwhile if the box is not full, so the records cannot shift.
Can I store records in a box?
Yes, with storage boxes. Store the records upright inside, not flat, and keep the boxes in a dry place with a stable temperature – not in a damp cellar or a hot attic.
Is there a volume discount?
Yes, we offer fair volume pricing. The more boxes you order, the lower the unit price – ideal for retailers and frequent shippers.
