The American label Analogue Productions
Analogue Productions was started in 1991 as a reissue label as an opportunity for its owner Chad Kassem to remaster his favorite all-time recordings and re-releases and make them shine in new, better quality vinyl or CD.
Since the founding of Analogue Productions, more than 300 titles from classical to folk, pop rock and blues to jazz have been re-recorded.
Among the many highlights of Analogue Productions' history are the two legendary LP series Jazz Fantasy 45 and Blue Note Reissues remastered to include recordings with some of the greatest jazz bands in history.
Another facet of Analogue Productions is their Apo ( Analogue Productions Originals ) division which features a long list of notable musicians. These include musicians such as the late Henry Townsend (the only musician to record from the 1920s through the 2000s), Jimmy Rogers (a young musician in the 1940s who recorded Muddy Waters Band classics), Jimmie Lee Robinson, and Honeyboy Edwards (one of the last living links to Robert Johnson and the Delta blues style).
From APO some newcomers like Jimmy D. Lane ( Jimmy Rogers son ), Harry " Big Daddy " Hypolite, C.J Chenier, Noah Wotherspoon and Mrquise Knox started their sensational world careers.
APO also offers a few albums of folk/Americana by singer Nancy Bryan and jazz singer Taylor Myra.
Analogue Productions works, as its name implies, exclusively with analog tape machines. All recordings of this label are mastered from the original analog tapes and the same applies to the titles that were recorded with APO. These were also recorded with analog cassettes.
It is APO's belief that analog sounds are richer, warmer and superior to digital.
