Naim Audio

The British label Naim Audio

In addition to its main business of manufacturing audio components, the British high-fidelity label Naim also distributes recordings by exceptional jazz and pop artists for the Music line label.

Recently, after 35 years of music distribution, Naim Edge was founded as a sub-label to the actual main label Naim Music, which is intended to promote new worlds of sound. The company places particular emphasis on unconventional but contemporary music. You will therefore look in vain for big players from the charts in the in-house catalog. Instead, audiophile fans can expect exquisite fare with the highest possible recording quality that does justice to the artists' music down to the smallest detail.
The highly respected guitarist Antonio Forcione and double bassist Charlie Haden are the spearheads of the Naim label. In 1992, Naim founded the Naim Classic sub-label out of passion. Currently, recordings by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the Vermeer Quartet, Iona Brown and the Norwegian Chamber Orchestra as well as violinist Yuval Yaron and others can be found in this category.
In jazz and pop, the spectrum currently available in the Music Line Shop ranges from various sub-genres and instruments such as vocals, guitar, bass and drums to fresh pop sounds. The best way to get to know Naim Audio's extensive range is to take a look at the sampler series.

Fans of black vinyl records will find an excellent selection in Naim's online store. When it comes to recording techniques, Naim Audio works with various options such as the Naim True Audio stereo process, in which the music is recorded live by two microphones. A professional studio for multi-track recording is of course also part of the equipment.
Naim defines its principle as follows: the main thing is that the recording process does justice to the artist and their music and sounds as good as possible. The label's total catalog amounts to over 100 recordings. Since its foundation, Naim's declared mission has always been to give a hearing to artists who have not yet been able to secure a record deal with the more lucrative labels. Take Fred Simon, for example, who performs live with Mike Lindup (ex-Level 42), the Laurence Hobgodd Trio and other well-known musicians.
German bass guitarist Kai Eckhardt has played with musical greats such as Randy Brecker and Stanley Clarke and is featured on the John McLaughlin Trio's live recording "Live at the Royal Festival", which is considered epochal by critics and fans alike. With his solo record "Honour simplicity, respect the flow", the German-Lebanese has found his own place in the Naim catalog.

Naim Audio's rich treasure trove of recordings is waiting to be discovered by new listeners.
