Audiolab company history: From the beginnings to excellence
Audiolab was founded in 1983 by Philip Swift and Derek Scotland and quickly established an excellent reputation for high-quality and innovative hi-fi technology. From the very beginning, the company's focus has been on quality and reliability. Audiolab deliberately avoids superfluous bells and whistles and instead focuses on ease of use and affordable prices to make its products accessible to a wide audience.

Under the leadership of Nick Clarke, who has been with Audiolab since the early days, the company continually invests in research and development. Audiolab strives tirelessly to find the perfect hi-fi solutions for the customer's living room. The Audiolab 8200 series forms the foundation of the product portfolio. This modular system allows customers to expand and customize their hi-fi system according to their own wishes, so that they can keep up with the latest developments even years later. Even the most demanding hi-fi enthusiasts will find Audiolab products that meet their high expectations.

The company's development is impressive. The first devices were manufactured in Philip Swift's kitchen. Audiolab's success story began with the 8000A integrated amplifier. Over the years, the company expanded its range to include preamplifiers, power amplifiers, CD players, turntables, tuners and D/A converters. Finally, Audiolab was taken over by McLaren, whose components still represent the limits of what is possible today.

With the takeover by McLaren, Audiolab became an exclusive and high-quality brand whose products are appreciated and purchased by wealthy customers. The combination of technical excellence, meticulous craftsmanship and a clear focus on customer needs has made Audiolab a leading name in the hi-fi world. Today, the brand stands for outstanding sound quality and reliable performance that will delight customers for decades to come.
