CDs carry their artwork safely behind plastic — LP covers stand defenseless. What has long been standard for other media is missing precisely for the most valuable collection: reliable protection from fingerprints, dust, scratches, and moisture. The Analogis "Protect It" LP outer sleeves close this gap with a clever solution that has been the gold standard for years: resealable protective sleeves made from crystal-clear polypropylene that not only preserve the cover but even enhance its appearance.

The special strength of these sleeves lies in the details: A discretely integrated adhesive strip makes them completely resealable, enabling dust-tight archiving of the collection. Covers can be viewed and displayed without opening the sleeve — the high-gloss polypropylene surface ensures crystal-clear visibility. Even older, slightly yellowed or dulled original sleeves appear like new through the Protect-It sleeve — an effect that every record collector appreciates.

The material difference from standard protective sleeves is immediately visible. While conventional PE sleeves (polyethylene) often appear slightly milky and dampen the cover, polypropylene remains crystal-clear and high-gloss. Polypropylene is fundamentally stiffer and more chemically resistant than polyethylene — making the sleeves not only more durable but also more resistant to creases and deformation. With higher heat resistance up to 170°C, they survive even summer temperatures in cars or on windowsills without warping.

Another advantage: Polypropylene has low water vapor permeability and is highly resistant to grease — two crucial properties for long-term protection of record covers. Unlike simpler materials, polypropylene maintains its transparency and flexibility even after years and doesn't become brittle. The 65-µm material thickness is optimally chosen: thin enough not to waste valuable shelf space, but stable enough for years of protective function.

Handling is extremely simple: slide in cover, press adhesive strip, done. The adhesive strip is designed to open and close indefinitely without losing adhesive strength. This is particularly important for frequently used records — covers can be easily removed and stored again without the sleeve wearing out or the closure failing. The dimensions of 325 × 325 mm are generously sized and fit not only around standard LP covers but also around gatefold sleeves and thicker double LPs.

For record shop displays, the system is ideal: customers can examine covers at leisure without having to open the sleeve or remove the cover. This significantly reduces damage from improper handling — and the high-gloss surface makes even used records appear in mint condition. A not-to-be-underestimated sales advantage, especially for high-quality pressings or limited editions.

The Protect It sleeves target everyone who takes their LP collection seriously: Collectors who want to permanently protect valuable first pressings or limited editions; Record dealers who want to present their inventory professionally and sales-promotingly; and DJs who want to keep their most valuable records flawless even after hundreds of transports and sessions. The sleeves are suitable for both home collections and commercial use — such as in record shops, vintage dealers, or lending libraries.

Anyone who regularly handles valuable original pressings from the 1960s to 1980s knows the problem: original sleeves are often already damaged, yellowed, or have tears and wear marks. A transparent protective sleeve conserves this condition and prevents further deterioration — while simultaneously highlighting the remaining optical quality of the cover. This is important not only for personal collector pride but also for maintaining the collection's value.
