Cardas Audio - CLEAR Power mains cable
The CLEAR Power was the first mains cable in the renowned CLEAR series from Cardas Audio and marks a consistent technological step within the Cardas portfolio. As with all of the manufacturer's cables, high-purity copper is used here too, the fine strands of which are individually lacquer-insulated and additionally tinned. This elaborate treatment serves to optimize conductivity and the long-term stability of the electrical properties.
The cable consists of three separately routed conductor strands that are twisted together. Each strand is insulated with PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) and is mechanically stabilized using precisely positioned air hoses. This design minimizes dielectric interference and ensures controlled impedance over the entire cable length. The design is supplemented by double shielding, whereby each individual conductor track is specifically protected against high-frequency interference (HF) at the input area. Despite the complex internal structure and the comparatively large diameter, the CLEAR Power is characterized by remarkable flexibility, which makes handling much easier in practical use.
In terms of sound, the CLEAR power cables behave entirely in the tradition of the familiar CLEAR loudspeaker cables. They do not interfere with the character of the connected components, but allow a free, unhindered musical flow. Reproduction takes place against an exceptionally calm, "deep black" background, whereby fine detail, spatial imaging as well as tonal plasticity and naturalness come to the fore. Users who expect a targeted or even drastic change in the sonic signature of their devices will deliberately not find what they are looking for at Cardas. Instead, the company's philosophy is one of maximum neutrality and authenticity.
For systems that are to benefit from high-quality power distribution, we also recommend using the Cardas Nautilus Power Strip power strip, which consistently enhances the sonic potential of the CLEAR Power.

Termination options
The CLEAR Power is supplied with high-quality Cardas mains plugs as standard. Their contacts are made of solid pure copper, which is first silver-plated and then coated with a layer of rhodium. This multi-stage plating process combines excellent conductivity with high mechanical robustness and permanently low contact resistance. Type 3455RS earthing contact plugs and type 3455R IEC cold appliance plugs are used as standard. For particularly power-intensive electronics, a 20 amp type C19 plug can be supplied on request. This variant is used for individual devices from manufacturers such as Audia Flight, Jeff Rowland or T+A and ensures a reliable power supply even with high continuous loads.
Owners of very compact or flat components with protruding housings - such as current models from Devialet, LINN or Micromega - have the option of choosing a Furutech FI-C15 NCF IEC plug as an optional extra. This is characterized by a particularly small design and makes installation in confined spaces considerably easier.

American mains plugs for the input side are also available on request.
