Sound carrier procurement is complex. In order to offer maximum transparency, we display delivery times as precisely as possible - supported by a multi-level display system on the item. Our focus is on audiophile sound carriers in close cooperation with Sieveking Sound, whose stock is displayed in the store on a daily basis.

QED XT3 power cable: High-quality power supply for audiophile demands
With the XT3 power cable, QED introduces a more affordable solution for high-quality power cables that perfectly complements the excellent portfolio of QED speaker cables and audio connections.

For over 47 years, QED has been a leader in the design and manufacture of speaker, audio and video cables, developing numerous breakthrough technologies for audio-visual connectivity.
The new XT3 cable series integrates a variety of proprietary technologies based on sound scientific research and extensive subjective testing to ensure significantly improved transmission quality and performance.
Using X-Tube™ technology, the XT3 power cable reduces distortion caused by impedance changes in the cable that can affect the flow of current to audio equipment. This minimizes audible interference during music playback.

Conventional mains cables, which are often supplied with devices, make many amplifiers sound harsh and less musical, resulting in a loss of dynamics and a weak bass response.
High-quality mains cables such as the QED XT3, on the other hand, provide a clean, interference-free power supply that allows hi-fi components to realize their full dynamic and sonic potential.

X-Tube™ technology
The XT3 power cables from QED use an adapted version of the proven X-Tube™ technology, which has been specially optimized for this application. This technology, which is already successfully used in our speaker cables, minimizes the proximity effect by using extremely thin, braided single conductors in the current-carrying and neutral conductors. This design prevents the eddy currents of neighboring conductors from influencing each other.

The conductors are effectively insulated and twisted so that no two conductors run in parallel for more than a few millimeters. This improves the even flow of current within the cable. The individual conductors are insulated with K130 PVC, which reduces the capacitance of the cable and ensures electrical insulation in accordance with international safety standards. An LDPE hollow core optimizes the cable inductance and ensures that the phase relationship between voltage and current is not altered by the cable parameters, further reducing distortion compared to conventional power cables.

Practical application
The XT3 power cable has been designed to be thin and flexible for easy and versatile handling. The live and neutral conductors are based on X-Tube™ technology, while the earth conductor has been left in a conventional geometry. Thanks to the X-Tube™ geometry, the total cross-sectional area of the cable has been limited to 1.5 mm², making the XT3 extremely flexible and practical despite its audiophile potential.
