Sourcing records and CDs is complex. So that you always know where you stand, we show the delivery time on every item as precisely as possible. Our focus is on audiophile records and CDs – in close cooperation with Sieveking Sound, whose stock is shown in the shop on a daily basis.

For items not in stock, a direct stock check isn’t possible while you order. We check availability immediately afterwards and inform you without delay.

How to read the delivery time: The colour of the delivery van icon on the item matches the colour of the dot in the table.

Premier MKII - 50mm platter - drive Scheu Analog

The best selling standard drive from Scheu Analog - High End drive as exhibitor - under 5h total operation.

A fantastic inertial drive that is available in several versions and has proven to be the best selling system from Scheu-Analog. It is characterized by a custom design and unique construction details.

Thomas Scheu developed the bearing which is inverted (axle is on the drive base, bearing sleeve is in the disk) precision disk bearing made of ball bearing steel 100Cr6. It has a sliding surface hardness of 62 HRC and a bearing tolerance zone of h6/H6, which is also used in other players.
A solid axle screwed to the base plate carries a ceramic ball on top. Because the heavy, extremely resonance-free acrylic platter literally "hangs" on the bearing, it stabilizes itself.
The DC motor, housed in a massive case, has been removed and placed separately next to the drive. It reaches its speed of 33 or 45 rpm, selectable by a toggle switch, in no time at all. Furthermore, the precision motor is equipped with a fine adjustment that can be set via a potentiometer. The actual power supply is provided by an external plug-in power supply unit to prevent interference.

The actual platter drive is provided by a wafer-thin nylon thread. The so-called string. The advantages of string drives are obvious:
The small contact area of the string minimizes uneven tractive forces and unnecessary friction. But even more has been done to get on top of disturbing extraneous radiation. The cavity of the cylindrical ring, which is located between the base plate with the three height-adjustable threaded spikes and the single- or double-winged tone arm base, depending on the version, is filled with resonance-reducing lead shot.
Either a 9" or 12" tonearm can be mounted. With the Premier MKIII, you even have the option of mounting two tonearms that can be combined in any length.
Furthermore, different platter heights are available in the 50mm (4.5 kg weight) and 80mm (7.5 kg) versions.

Combined with all tonearms of the world market, the Premier plays sonically with sovereignty, calmness and great spatial depth.
Depending on the tonearm/cartridge combination, abysmal bass and incisive timbres can be heard.

The tonearms from our own company are of course particularly recommended for combination with this exceptional player, which provides it with a seamless, clean and perfectly sorted sound image. You will be thrilled by the elemtary power this system produces.
