At the heart of the DSH-805 is the ESS SABRE® ES9039MSPRO, the latest flagship DAC from ESS Technology. Eight integrated DAC channels - four per stereo channel - utilize the patented Hyperstream® IV architecture.
The result: absolute linearity, extremely low distortion and the highest level of detail. Even complex and demanding recordings are reproduced with exceptional precision, depth and authenticity.
Proprietary analog output stage
The characteristic sound of the DSH-805 is largely determined by its elaborately developed analog output stage. A total of 18 OPA161x operational amplifiers ensure exceptional coherence, spatial imaging and natural reverberation.

• DSD data can be transmitted both natively and via DoP. The integrated MQA decoder and renderer reproduces content in MQA and MQA Studio true to the original - exactly as the artist intended.

Pre-decoded OFS streams from external streamers are also fully supported.

Seven selectable digital PCM filters enable targeted adjustment of the sound character - from maximum neutrality to subtle tonal fine-tuning.

Linear power supply - the foundation of sound quality
The DSH-805 relies on a powerful linear power supply with a transformer specially developed for this device and wound in poles. EMI filtering, extremely low noise and stable voltages ensure excellent dynamics and sonic purity.
Five independent secondary voltages with separate linear control stages ensure consistent separation of the digital and analog ranges.
An additional, dedicated reference voltage regulator for the DAC increases conversion precision and ensures optimum performance under all operating conditions.
