The beauty of the art of recording is that there are no fixed rules or templates. The sound emerges from the pure music. Every 2L - The Nordic Sound project begins by immersing oneself in the score and talking to the musicians. As a producer, the task is not just to recreate a concert situation, but the label wants to get the ideal out of the recording form.
The aim is to create an incredible sonic experience for the listener that transports them emotionally to another place. The music of 2L includes Norwegian composers and performers as well as an international repertoire that has internalized the Nordic atmosphere. 2L focuses on immersive audio with Pure Audio Blue-ray and HiRes file distribution. To date, the label has received 36 American Grammy nominations.
2L's recordings are made in large acoustic spaces such as concert halls, churches and cathedrals.
