Dixiefrog
The Dixiefrog label
The French label Dixiefrog has made a name for itself with so-called roots music. In other words, with blues, gospel, country and reggae. However, the main focus of the label's catalog is clearly on blues rock. National artists such as Jean Chatron and Jean-Jacques Milteau are recorded just as gloriously as international acts such as Eric Bibb, Magic Slim, Popa Chubby, the Reggae Cowboys and many others. Taken together, Dixiefrog delivers one of the best recording catalogs from Europe and certainly doesn't have to shy away from comparison with labels from the USA.
