Vinyl care - Cleaning concentrate - Reference
There are products that have held their own against every new challenger for decades - not through marketing, but simply through results. L'Art du Son is one of them. Since its market launch, the cleaning concentrate from Emmendingen has been one of the most frequently recommended record cleaners in the audiophile world - awarded by international specialist publications, praised by editors who have tested it against all other products, and to this day the undisputed reference for anyone who wants to get the very best out of their vinyl treasures.
The special thing about L'Art du Son is not what it contains - but what it deliberately does not contain. No alcohol, no emulsifiers, no preservatives. This consistent reduction to the essentials makes the liquid completely gentle on every surface it touches - vinyl, shellac, brushes, machine parts. 100 ml concentrate in a ratio of 1:50 with distilled or demineralized water makes 5 liters of cleaning liquid - sufficient for up to 500 records. A measuring cup is included.

Universally applicable
Suitable for all cleaning methods - from the Knosti to vacuum area and spot extractors
L'Art du Son's decision not to use alcohol is not a compromise solution - it is the result of a conscious design decision. Although alcohol dissolves grease efficiently, it attacks the materials it is intended to touch if used regularly: Vinyl can become more brittle, brushes made of natural hair or animal hair react sensitively, metal parts in washing machines can oxidize when exposed to liquids containing alcohol. L'Art du Son avoids all of this - and still achieves a cleaning performance that has become an international standard.
Anyone who picks up the freshly mixed liquid for the first time will notice the characteristic white suspended particles - they are part of the formulation, are completely harmless and dissolve when shaken. They are not a sign of inferior quality, but direct proof that L'Art du Son has dispensed with preservatives that would otherwise keep these particles chemically in solution. As soon as gray, fingernail-sized suspended particles appear or the liquid no longer forms bubbles, the natural degradation process has begun - until then, the product is fully effective.
In terms of sound, the specialist press describes an effect that goes beyond mere cleanliness: records sound more dynamic, airier and more open after treatment with L'Art du Son - even brand new pressings that show an audible improvement after the wash. Many users report that they only really got to know their collection through L'Art du Son. There is hardly a manufacturer of record washing machines that does not offer L'Art du Son alongside its own liquid.

Application & compatibility
L'Art du Son is suitable for practically all cleaning methods - from simple hand cleaning with brushes to vacuum-free systems such as the Knosti Disco-Antistat to professional vacuum surface cleaners such as the Clearaudio Double Matrix and spot cleaners à la Keith Monks or Loricraft. The concentrate is compatible with vinyl and shellac alike and does not attack any materials it touches.
The finished mixture should be stored in a dark and cool place. Only mix the amount actually required - as L'Art du Son is formulated without preservatives, a natural degradation process sets in. The concentrate itself has a much longer shelf life than the finished solution. The best-before date can be found on the golden sticker on the bottle. The product is neither flammable nor toxic, biodegradable and suitable for allergy sufferers.
