Clean electricity cannot be taken for granted. Switching power supplies in smartphones, laptops, LED lights and smart home devices constantly feed high-frequency interference signals back into the household power supply. Every device that is switched on adds noise - and this noise can be heard directly in the sound image via the power supply units of the connected hi-fi and AV components: as a low background noise, as a lack of resolution in highs and lows, as a sound image that never quite breathes freely. The Furman AC-210A E solves this problem with the same professional technology that Furman has proven for over 40 years on concert tours and in broadcast studios - in a compact, affordable housing for two devices.

The AC-210A E is the European 230V version of the Furman AC-215A used worldwide and combines three independent protection technologies in a single compact unit: SMP for surge protection, LiFT for line filtering and EVS for automatic protection in the event of overvoltage conditions. This makes it the simplest and most cost-effective entry-level model in the Furman world - without compromising on protection quality compared to the larger Elite models.

SMP

Series Multi-Stage Protection

The core of the protection system. Instead of diverting voltage peaks to the earth line (like cheap MOV strips), SMP absorbs and dissipates the energy through a network of inductors and capacitors connected in series. The system does not sacrifice itself in the process - it is designed to withstand multiple pulses of 6,000 V / 3,000 A without damage. No replacement, no downtime.

LiFT

Linear Filter Technology

Furman's exclusive filter process works linearly across the entire relevant frequency spectrum - regardless of the connected load. Conventional filter concepts create resonance peaks under certain conditions, which can actually add more than 10 dB of noise to the power line. LiFT avoids this effect and reliably delivers clean power.

EVS

Extreme Voltage Shutdown

Continuously monitors the incoming mains voltage. If it exceeds the limit value of 275 V - for example due to wiring faults or a dropped neutral conductor - EVS immediately switches off the outputs and thus protects the connected devices. As soon as the mains voltage returns to the safe range, the system resets automatically.

Sound effect & use

The sonic effect of a mains filter can be heard most clearly where the signal is most sensitive: phono preamps, DACs and streamers react immediately to a cleaner supply voltage - the background noise drops, trebles become clearer and less sharp, the spatiality opens up. Amplifiers and CD players also benefit noticeably: the sound is calmer, more confident and less nervous. The AC-210A E is ideal as a starter for a focused two-device configuration - such as amplifier plus DAC or preamplifier plus source - and delivers a clearly perceptible improvement with a comparatively small investment.

The compact steel housing can be discreetly mounted behind a flat screen, on a TV wall bracket, in a small rack or on a shelf. The supplied mounting brackets allow various installation options. The Euro cold appliance cable and a Schuko-to-IEC adapter, which enables connection to a standard Schuko socket, are available separately.
