At the heart of the digital signal processing is a specially tuned ESS Sabre ES9039Q2M chipset with HyperStream IV dual DAC technology. Every detail - from the circuit architecture to the board layout - has been consistently optimized to guarantee maximum musical transparency, dynamics and detail. The result is a sound image that is both analytically and emotionally convincing.

The integrated phono preamplifier is based on the multiple award-winning Classic PHONO technology and performs far above its price class. Although the 40 AMP is already equipped with a modern, specially developed switching power supply with high efficiency and low noise, it can be upgraded with the optional Cyrus 40 PSU if you want to exploit its full potential. This external power supply provides the amplifier with extremely clean power via several internally regulated voltage lines - for even better sound performance.
