In 1991, Pro-Ject sparked a revolution in the hi-fi world with the Pro-Ject 1. The success of this extremely affordable high-end turntable - especially in the heyday of the CD era - had its reasons: The Pro-Ject 1 had a simple but technically sensible design and was completely handmade in Europe from high-quality materials by experienced technicians.

The Pro-Ject 1 also had no unnecessary features and was a purely manual turntable. All these choices made it a device with a fantastic sound - at an incredibly good price. The X1 is based on the same concept as the Pro-Ject 1, but it has been improved in every aspect with modern materials and production processes.

The X1 is available in three different color options; the luxurious black or white eight-panel high-gloss finish and in a premium walnut veneer.

• Headshell and the tonearm tube are made of one piece of carbon fiber/aluminum composite material
