Xtension 12 Evolution - Turntable - piano black - Pro-Ject

• Xtension 12 Evolution - Turntable - piano black - Pro-Ject

A modern classic for analog perfection
The Pro-Ject Xtension Evolution combines the classic turntable design of the 1980s with the latest audio technology from Pro-Ject. The visual reference to legendary models from the first great analog era is a deliberate choice - but inside is over two decades of development experience in high-end turntable construction. When designing the Xtension, the focus was on technical excellence and uncompromising sound quality - not cost optimization.
In addition to proven technologies from the Pro-Ject high-end series, numerous innovative solutions have been implemented in the Xtension to raise the playback quality of records to a new level.

Mechanical calm meets precision
The Xtension series has been specifically optimized for mechanical quietness and freedom from resonance:

• The chassis is filled with metal granules to effectively dampen unwanted vibrations.
• The platter axle is mounted on a solid metal block, resulting in an exceptionally stable bearing.
• Weighing almost 6 kg, the polished aluminum platter is damped with an internal TPE* ring and rests on an inverted platter bearing with ceramic contact surfaces.
• Two repulsive neodymium magnets mechanically relieve the bearing, significantly improve running smoothness and reduce rumbling noises to a barely measurable minimum.
• A record puck ensures optimum contact between record and platter.

Reference quality tonearm - 12-inch made of full carbon
The supplied Pro-Ject 12cc Evolution is a 12-inch tonearm with a straight design, made from a continuous piece of carbon fiber.

• The conical tube ensures maximum rigidity combined with a very low weight - ideal conditions for precise, low-distortion tracking.
• The tonearm bearing works with high-precision ABEC 7 ball bearings, allowing the arm tube to move almost friction-free.
• Thanks to the azimuth adjustment and adjustable vertical tracking angle (VTA), the cartridge can be precisely adjusted.
• The included counterweights cover pickup systems from 4 to 14 g; additional counterweights are optionally available.
• A 5-pin connection socket allows the use of individual phono cables - the Pro-Ject Connect it 5P-E (123 cm) is included ex works.
