Brief description of the banana plug

The WBT-0610 banana plug is available with innovative nextgen™ technology. The minimalistically designed WBT-0610 can be purchased in both pure copper (Cu variant) or silver (Ag variant) versions, which is the reason for its exceedingly good conductivity. In line with the idea of WBT's nextgen™ technology, the banana plug has been designed to be as metal-free as possible, which leads to the prevention of magnetic interference. As a result, an even more detailed and spacious music reproduction can be achieved. As a further production step, the surface of the copper signal conductor is directly gold-plated without nickel to protect against oxidation.

The shape of the contact pin has been chosen so that its three elements "bulge" when the spindle is turned in. This allows the pin to be firmly clamped in each pole terminal. The result is consistently low contact resistance due to the consistently high contact pressure.

Comparable to the related WBT-0645, this banana plug also allows space-saving positioning of your devices thanks to its oblique angle. In addition, the angle directs the cable directly towards the ground and thus prevents it from kinking.

As a connection solution to the cable, the developers have opted for the crimp connection technology. By using Torx screws, this technology creates a reliable and tension-proof connection. The first screw is used to fix the crimped end of the cable, while the second secures the cable against unwanted pull.

The body of the connector is completely insulated. An additional safety pin prevents the banana plug from being accidentally connected to a power outlet. The WBT-0610 thus complies with CE and IEC safety conditions.
