MORRICONE ENNIO - The Very Best Of Ennio Morricone (HSACD)
Ennio Morricone's compositions have had a decisive influence on the history of European and American cinema. Since 1961, the Roman-born composer has written the soundtracks to several hundred films, including numerous international classics. His impressive and moving melodies have made Morricone world-famous and he is undoubtedly one of the most important film composers of all time. This compilation brings together the most famous of his masterpieces.
In addition to Morricone's music for Sergio Leone's legendary western to Brian de Palma's Mission To Mars from 2000, Ennio Morricone - The Very Best Of contains original music from the films:
A Fistful of Dollars, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, The Mission, Once upon a Time in America, Once upon a Time in the West, My Name is Nobody, The Battle of Algiers.
Hong Kong is a very special market for audiophile music lovers. The local branch of Universal Music has also recognized this and is therefore having some of Ball Au's popular titles remixed at Hong Kong's "Sound Max Studios". The mastering clearly has the audiophile customer in mind and often differs very pleasantly from earlier productions. Naturally, both the PCM track and the DSD track benefit from the improved sound. The hybrid SACDs themselves are manufactured in Japan.
We recommend the use of "L'Art du Son" CD/DVD conditioner for a further improvement in sound quality.
