The use of a two-stage amplifier circuit is unusual for a device in this price range. This protects the actual equalization section from overloading, guarantees a particularly low output impedance and enables superior control of subsequent amplifier stages. The Apprentice MM was specially developed for operation with the DC-stabilized single-rail power supply from Edwards Audio. The sophisticated, robust double-U enclosure design eliminates the need for expensive custom-built enclosures while still providing excellent shielding.
