Knosti Disco-Antistat Mixture is the original cleaning fluid for the proven Knosti Disco-Antistat record washing machine - in use worldwide for over 45 years and still the reference for manual record cleaning without a vacuum system. The alcohol-free special formulation cleans automatically and residue-free deep into the groove: dust, dirt particles and dried liquids are loosened from the groove structure and remain in the tub - the record surface dries residue-free, without vacuum extraction, without post-treatment.

A decisive difference to conventional cleaning fluids such as Hannl X2000: The Mixture is equipped with special antistatic and self-drying additives that enable it to be used without vacuum extraction. The plate dries independently, the fluid evaporates without leaving any residue - no power connection, no suction device, no other aids required. Up to 200 records can be cleaned with one liter, as the liquid can be poured back into the bottle after each pass through the enclosed filter and reused.

The mixture works mechanically and chemically at the same time: while the Knosti goat hair brushes work the liquid into the grooves, the cleaning additives loosen dirt, grease and dried deposits directly from the groove structure. The fluid absorbs these particles, carries them out of the groove and remains in the tray with the dissolved dirt - the panel surface itself becomes residue-free. The self-drying additives accelerate the evaporation of the remaining moisture so that the board dries cleanly in the drying rack without a vacuum and without cloths.

Particularly practical: after the washing process, the used liquid is poured back into the bottle through the supplied funnel with filter grid and filter fleece - filtered out particles remain in the fleece and the cleaned liquid is immediately available again. This means that one liter is sufficient for the economically efficient care of up to 200 records without any active ingredient being lost or cross-contamination occurring.

The formulation is alcohol-free - an important advantage over alcohol-based cleaners, which can oxidize the metal parts of the Knosti brushes and discolour the goat hair if used regularly. The mixture is the only cleaning agent that Knosti recommends for its devices; the use of other liquids can lead to flash rust on the brush holders.

The Mixture was primarily developed for the Knosti Disco-Antistat (Generation I and II PLUS) - however, it is suitable for any vacuum-free plate washing system that works without suction. Classic wet washing machines with vacuum, on the other hand, do not require self-drying additives and rely on other cleaning concepts; we recommend specific liquids from our range for these machines.

Vinyl in all formats - LP, single, 10" - can be cleaned without any problems. Shellac records (78 RPM) can also be treated with the mixture, although higher levels of soiling require slightly more liquid. Newly pressed records also benefit: pressing residues and production-related electrostatic charge are reliably removed during the first bath - and the antistatic effect is permanent.
