Vinyl care - refill & single bottle
The Record Restore cleaning emulsion is the heart of the system - and is now also available separately. Whether as a refill for the starter kit or box set, as a starter with your own turntable or for direct use: The 200 ml bottle delivers the same archive-grade emulsion quality as in the kit, dispensed sparingly by syringe and completely removable without leaving any residue. At approx. 3.0-3.5 ml per LP side, one bottle is sufficient for up to 30 LPs.
The alcohol-free, surfactant-based formulation removes grease, oil, pressing residues and electrostatically bound microparticles from deep within the groove structure - without abrasion, without recoating, without aggressive chemicals. The result is documented by measurement: up to +11 dB signal-to-noise ratio and permanently eliminated electrostatic charge - reproducible, independently tested, noticeable on first playback.
+11 dB SNR measured
Independently tested increase in signal-to-noise ratio - corresponds to ~75 % sound improvement
For 30 LPs
200 ml is sufficient for up to 30 records at approx. 3.0-3.5 ml per side of a 12″ LP
100 % residue-free
Alcohol-free, surfactant-based - complete removal as a dry film, no chemical residue in the groove

Working principle - deeper than any machine
The emulsion is applied to the rotating plate surface and worked in. As it dries, it emulsifies fats, oils, press residues and other adhesive compounds from the groove structure. At the same time, electrostatically charged microparticles are neutralized - they lose their bond to the groove flank and are trapped in the resulting dry film. When the film is removed, all the bound dirt leaves the panel in a single pass: 100% residue-free, without fluid, without solvent, without recoating the grooves.
As the vinyl surface is hardly touched mechanically - no brushes, no abrasion, no high-frequency sonication - Record Restore is the gentlest cleaning process available for records. Particularly sensitive styli such as Micro-Line, Shibata or Micro-Ridge, which sit deep in the groove, benefit especially. Even sensitive 78 RPM shellac records can be treated safely - a specially formulated formula is available for this purpose.
The antistatic effect - permanent, not temporary
Antistatic brushes and ionizers discharge temporarily - they do not prevent the record from immediately recharging the next time it is removed from its sleeve. Record Restore works in a fundamentally different way: the treatment leaves a layer of positive ions on the groove surface that permanently prevents the build-up of new negative charges. A treated record can no longer become electrostatically charged - even after repeated playback. Even brand-new pressings, which come from the manufacturing process highly charged and immediately attract dust from the air, are permanently neutral after a single treatment.
The following video impressively demonstrates this effect - on a brand new, untouched record, measured with an electrostatic detector:
| Increase in signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) |
up to +11 dB (~75 % improvement) |
| Reduction of the peak noise level |
up to -8 dB (>50 % improvement) |
| Surface noise & crackle |
Significantly reduced, often completely eliminated |
| Channel separation & stage stability |
Measurably improved |
| Dynamic range |
Expanded by exposing original transients |
| Electrostatic charge |
Permanently eliminated - even over repeated playbacks |
