M Dragonfly - Millennium Audio Vision

Anyone who sets up a turntable seriously always starts with the level - and this is exactly where the difference between a good and an excellent tool becomes apparent. Most spirit levels have to be placed to the side of the platter mandrel: a compromise which, depending on the height of the mandrel and the platter surface, leads to a slightly offset measurement result. The Millennium M level solves this problem elegantly: A hole on the underside allows it to be placed directly on the mandrel - centered, stable, in the only correct reference position.

Millennium Audio Vision, active in the Hamburg area for over 15 years and one of the few German manufacturers of audiophile alignment accessories of this quality level, produces all its products in Germany. The workmanship and choice of materials speak for themselves: solid stainless steel, highly polished, with the weight and feel of a precision tool - a far cry from lightweight acrylic spirit levels from the mass market segment. The M spirit level is the sound tool for anyone who does not want to leave the leveling of their drive to chance.

The axis of rotation of the platter is the geometric center of the entire turntable - and therefore the only logical reference position for leveling checks. A level that has to be placed to the side of the mandrel must be off-center: Depending on the diameter of the level and the height of the mandrel, there will be an offset, which can lead to a slightly distorted measurement result. If you also use a turntable support, the problem is exacerbated: The support lifts the level slightly, but the lateral offset to the axis of rotation remains.

The M level is positioned exactly on the axis of rotation. The hole on the underside accommodates the mandrel and ensures that the level is centered, stable and immovable - on the turntable, without distortion of the contact surface. The result is the most precise possible statement as to whether the turntable is really level. Anyone who has ever compared the two methods will immediately understand why Millennium chose this design.

Millennium Audio Vision is a small Hamburg-based company specializing in audiophile hi-fi accessories - on the market for over 15 years, with a range that is uncompromisingly focused on precision and quality of workmanship. All products are made in Germany, are only sold through a hand-picked group of specialist dealers and can be individually manufactured on request. According to the company, its philosophy follows the principles of Hanseatic merchant culture: no fads, no empty promises - instead, tools that deliver what they promise.

The M Libelle fits seamlessly into the Millennium Adjustment System: Anlageblock for VTA and azimuth adjustment, Protractor Set for cartridge geometry, Cross Level for hi-fi equipment and M Level for basic drive unit leveling. If all four tools are used systematically, the analog setup will be as precisely aligned as is possible with commercially available tools.
