Rega Planar 3 RS Edition - Premium performance on a new level at an incredible price
The Rega Planar 3 RS Edition (Rega Special) takes the proven quality and design of the Planar 3 to a whole new level. With a combination of innovative technologies, the highest quality materials and a flawless finish, this turntable sets the standard in its price class. Designed for discerning music lovers, the Planar 3 RS combines exceptional sonic performance with impressive aesthetics.
Innovative chassis technology for maximum rigidity
For the first time, the Planar 3 is manufactured using a special high-pressure laminate (HPL), which was previously reserved for the high-end Planar 6, 8 and 10 models. This material significantly increases the rigidity of the chassis compared to the standard model and minimizes vibrations at the same time. As a result, the music reproduction remains unaltered, precise and lively.
Rega's proven Double Brace technology, which is specifically placed between the tonearm and platter bearing, prevents the absorption of energy and eliminates unwanted resonances. The result is an exceptionally natural and distortion-free sound reproduction.
Stunning design with premium finish
The Planar 3 RS Edition not only impresses in terms of sound, but also visually. The brushed aluminum satin finish of the HPL plinth gives the turntable an elegant and modern aesthetic. The high-quality plinth is framed by a high-gloss black frame that perfectly complements the elegant metal finish. The tinted cover included in the scope of delivery ensures that the record player can be harmoniously integrated with other hi-fi components.
Ultimate sound quality thanks to precise components
The technical features of the Planar 3 RS Edition have been carefully tuned to ensure impressive sound fidelity and attention to detail.
RB330 tonearm
The precision-manufactured RB330 tonearm is equipped with state-of-the-art bearings that reduce friction to a minimum and enable perfect guidance of the cartridge needle. The tonearm is characterized by high stability and an exceptionally low mass, which further optimizes the sonic performance.
Nd5 MM cartridge
The Planar 3 RS is factory-fitted with the brand new, award-winning Nd5 MM cartridge. This offers high-resolution music reproduction and ensures a detailed representation of even the finest nuances in the music.
EBLT reference drive belt
The EBLT reference drive belt included in the scope of delivery guarantees smooth rotation and reduces motor-related interference. The result is an outstandingly stable playback quality that is particularly impressive with complex musical passages.
Neo PSU MK2 power supply unit
The Planar 3 RS Edition is supplied with the specially tuned Neo PSU MK2 power supply unit. This enables precise control of the motor speed and ensures exceptionally quiet operation. The ability to switch between 33⅓ and 45 revolutions per minute makes the turntable flexible and versatile.
Impeccable workmanship and well thought-out details
Every detail of the Planar 3 RS has been developed and processed with the utmost care. From the robust construction to the visual harmony, the turntable blends seamlessly into any environment.
