Vinyl Care · LP Outer Sleeves

A record sleeve is more than packaging — it is the visual face of an album, often a work of art in its own right. While the record itself can be well protected with inner sleeves and careful handling, the cover remains exposed every single day: susceptible to dust, fingerprints, and the gradual wear of being pulled in and out of the shelf. The Analogis protect it LP outer sleeves solve this problem in an elegant, space-saving way — with high-transparency polypropylene that protects without concealing.

Analogis has been one of Germany's most respected manufacturers of analogue accessories for decades, with a philosophy of uncompromising quality. The protect-it series embodies this approach: sleeves that not only protect, but keep your collection looking as pristine as the day you bought it.

Polypropylene (PP) is the preferred material for premium record outer sleeves — and for good reason. Compared to conventional polyethylene (PE), PP is inherently clearer, stiffer, and far less prone to the milky appearance that characterises cheaper film options. Analogis uses a particularly high-transparency PP compound that reveals cover artwork in full detail — typography, gradients and fine print remain sharply visible through the film, as if no sleeve were present at all.

At 65 microns, the protect-it sleeve hits a well-chosen sweet spot: thick enough to provide genuine protection and structural support with every shelf pull, yet thin enough to leave your available shelf space essentially unaffected. For collectors with 200 or 500 records, this material choice makes a measurable, practical difference over time.

One detail Analogis specifically highlights — and one that becomes apparent in direct comparison with competing products — is the quality of the welded seams. Many cheaper outer sleeves begin to split at the seam after only a few dozen insertions, leaving the cover technically enclosed but no longer reliably protected. Analogis uses particularly robust weld bonds that remain intact under regular use, ensuring long-term protection for your covers.

The sleeves accommodate both standard single LPs and double LPs (gatefold). The 325 × 325 mm format provides ample space for virtually all standard cover sizes without causing fold marks or allowing the cover to shift around inside. Even older covers that have lost some of their original lustre benefit visibly from the high-gloss surface of the film — they look refreshed without any restoration work.
