Sieveking Sound Super Premium Sleeves - Record Inner Sleeves

Record care - LP inner sleeves - Sieveking Sound - Pack of 50

The factory inner sleeve is the weakest link in the protection concept of every record. Plain paper scratches, becomes electrostatically charged and attracts dust - a vicious circle that starts all over again every time the record is removed. If you wash a fresh LP and then put it back in its original paper sleeve, you've done half the work for nothing. The Sieveking Sound Super Premium Inner Sleeves are the logical replacement: a six-layer construction made of robust paper embedded on both sides between layers of HDPE (high-density polyethylene) - a plasticizer-free plastic that neither outgasses nor reacts with printing inks or vinyl. The paper gives the sleeve rigidity and makes insertion into tight covers a smooth process, while the HDPE layers provide antistatic and scratch-free protection for the vinyl surface on both sides.

Two details show that this sleeve was developed by record collectors for record collectors: Firstly, it is generously dimensioned enough to slide into particularly narrow record covers without any effort - no jamming, no pulling on the cover. Secondly, the paper has a label cut-out that allows the A and B sides of the record to be identified before it is pulled out. Sieveking Sound from Bremen is one of the most renowned German vinyl accessory manufacturers - and the Super Premium Inner Sleeves are the company's own product that reflects this experience.

6 layers

Paper between HDPE on both sides - antistatic, scratch-resistant, plasticizer-free, long-term stability

Label cut-out

Correct LP side already recognizable before pulling out - no unnecessary handling

Suitable for slim covers

Can also be easily inserted into particularly narrow record covers - no effort required, no jamming

Why the inner sleeve is crucial

Electrostatic charge is the invisible main problem with vinyl storage: records become electrically charged when they are pulled out of a conventional paper sleeve - and then attract new dust particles from the air and from the sleeve wall. This dust settles in the grooves and causes crackling and distortion the next time the record is played. The HDPE layers of the Super Premium sleeves counteract this mechanism: High-density polyethylene is naturally antistatic - without additives, without coatings that degrade over time. In addition, HDPE is **plasticizer-free**, which means: no migration of chemical compounds to the vinyl surface that could lead to clouding or stickiness over the years.

The strong paper in the middle of the construction fulfills a mechanical function: it gives the sleeve enough rigidity so that it does not fold up or jam when the LP is inserted. At the same time, the paper structure prevents direct plastic contact between the HDPE surfaces - and enables the label cut-out, which allows the correct side to be recognized without having to pull it out. A small detail with great everyday benefits for anyone who regularly leafs through their collection.
