ATH-WP900 - Premium headphones - closed - Audio Technica

• ATH-WP900 - Premium headphones - closed - Audio Technica

The ATH-WP900 headphones are portable, circumaural headphones with an aesthetically pleasing design featuring fine curly maple cabinets. The solid milled maple housing and thin curly maple veneer provide clear, natural sound.
The craftsmanship of Japanese luthier Fujigen brings out the unique grain of the precious wood to its best advantage, making each pair of headphones an individual product that will only grow in beauty over time.

The exclusive 53mm drivers with powerful magnetic circuit and diaphragm with DLC coating, as well as the top-mounted circuit board, ensure outstanding audio reproduction across the entire frequency spectrum. The specially designed angled baffle improves the airflow characteristics between the front and rear of the diaphragm to realize optimal bass and midrange response.
The A2DC connectors allow for a secure connection with the two included interchangeable 1.2-meter cables. One cable features a gold-plated 3.5mm stereo mini-jack plug for smartphones and standard audio devices, while the other has a gold-plated balanced 4.4mm (5-pin) jack plug for use with high-resolution digital audio players and suitably compatible headphone amplifiers.

For comfortable wear, the ATH-WP900's ear pads and headband are covered in soft leatherette, and the rotating earcups flatten out completely for transport (carrying case included).

What does "high-resolution audio" mean? High-resolution audio formats offer higher quality than the standard audio format of a CD. These formats have a higher resolution that allows them to better reproduce the original recording, providing more detail and sound quality. The Hi-Res Audio standard defines a resolution of at least 96 kHz / 24 bits or higher, providing better playback of high-resolution media. The "Hi-Res Audio" logo certifies devices that meet this standard, such as the ATH-WP900 headphones, to ensure optimal playback of Hi-Res Audio material.
