This special model, based on the renowned Pro-Ject Phono Box S2, represents the pinnacle of acoustic engineering, designed for audiophiles who do not compromise on sound quality.
The external phono preamplifier plays a crucial role for music enthusiasts whose amplifier does not offer a dedicated input for turntables or whose integrated phono preamplifier does not meet the high quality requirements. The Pro-Ject Phono Box Ultra 500 bridges this gap brilliantly, delivering unsurpassed fidelity and connecting to any high level input on your amplifier.

Flexibility is at the forefront of the Pro-Ject Phono Box Ultra 500. It is finely tuned to the individual requirements of different cartridges, with adjustable termination capacitance, termination resistance and gain. This ensures that each cartridge works in its optimum electrical environment and thus delivers the best possible sound quality.
The acoustic excellence of the Pro-Ject Phono Box Ultra 500 is achieved through the careful selection of high quality components such as polystyrene capacitors and a discrete circuit design, which together ensure exceptionally pure and detailed sound reproduction. Its high-gloss chrome-plated metal housing not only protects the valuable internal technologies, but also gives the device a visually appealing appearance that is an eye-catcher in any hi-fi system.
With comprehensive adjustment options for MM, moving iron and high-output MC cartridges as well as an adjustable termination resistor for low-output MC cartridges, the Pro-Ject Phono Box Ultra 500 offers unparalleled adaptability. The gain can be adjusted in four steps, regardless of the operating mode, which means that all settings can be used for both MM and MC.

The Pro-Ject Phono Box Ultra 500 represents not only the heritage and innovation of Pro-Ject Audio, but also the future of audiophile sound reproduction. With this special model, you are sending a clear signal for quality, precision and acoustic brilliance. Experience music the way it was meant to be heard - with the Pro-Ject Phono Box Ultra 500, the new standard for audiophile preamplification.
