Discover an expanded dimension of high-end tube sound with the new Tube Box DS3 B. For many years, our Tube Boxes have been a staple of our product portfolio, and the DS3 B continues this tradition with a new level of sonic refinement by introducing balanced inputs and outputs.

Thanks to the balanced input and output connections, you can now connect your turntable with either a 5-pin mini XLR cable or standard XLR cables and benefit from a balanced signal path. Balanced transmissions consist of a hot and a cold signal, both of which effectively carry the same musical information. By using the Tube Box DS3 B, the final musical information can be extracted while removing any noise that may have been added during the transfer.

Every component, from the tubes to the polypropylene capacitors, has been selected according to strict audiophile criteria to ensure stunning sound quality. The Tube Box DS3 B offers unparalleled fidelity and detail that will delight even audiophile enthusiasts.
One of the most remarkable features of the Tube Box DS3 B is the ability to connect two turntables simultaneously and adjust their settings from the convenience of the front panel. All input settings are memorized to ensure a smooth transition between different setup configurations.
With gain options from 40 dB to 65 dB, you can perfectly match the Tube Box DS3 B to a variety of cartridges and seamlessly integrate it into your hi-fi system. By precisely adjusting the gain to other sources such as CD players or streaming devices, you can accurately control the volume level and achieve a balanced sound image.
In addition, the stepless adjustment of the load impedance via a potentiometer allows fine adjustment to your pickup. You can even change the impedance during playback and immediately assess the effects. This flexibility is crucial for finding the optimum load impedance for your cartridge and exploiting the full potential of your analog record collection.

Overall, the Tube Box DS3 B offers an unparalleled combination of high-quality workmanship, audiophile sound quality and user-friendly features that make it the ideal choice for discerning music lovers who want to get the most out of their vinyl collection.

Power supply
The power supply of a high-quality audio component such as the Tube Box DS3 B is of crucial importance for the sound quality and overall performance. To ensure that the Tube Box DS3 B offers the best possible performance, it is powered via an external power supply. This approach was chosen to ensure that all parts that could radiate electromagnetic fields are kept outside the amplifier area.
Choosing the right power supply is of great importance, and for legal reasons the external power supply must be a switching power supply that has a standby power consumption of only 0.1 W. This not only ensures efficient power management, but also minimizes power consumption in standby mode, which makes both environmental and economic sense.
Although switching power supplies are widely used, a linear power supply upgrade is an even better option. Linear power supplies can deliver a much cleaner current, which can have a positive impact on sound quality. A linear power supply with a transformer that has very low core saturation and is ideally shielded between the primary and secondary windings is particularly effective. This design reduces radiation from the external electromagnetic field that could penetrate sensitive circuitry, while also acting as an efficient filter to suppress mains interference.
In addition, the integration of a DC blocker can further improve filtering by preventing the saturation of a transformer core by direct current. This results in an even cleaner power supply and also reduces the mechanical vibration of the transformer. It is important that the transformer is vacuum impregnated to ensure optimum performance and longevity, but this increases the size and price of the power supply.

A high quality linear power supply therefore requires an enclosure of comparable size to the Tube Box DS3 B itself. To minimize electromagnetic interference, the external power supply should not be placed in close proximity to the Tube Box DS3 B, nor should it be exposed to large transformers in other devices that can also generate electromagnetic fields. Careful placement and shielding can minimize interference and ensure optimal performance of the Tube Box DS3 B.
