Thorens - Bearing oil - Thorens

Thorens bearing oil is a high-quality lubricant specially designed for the care and maintenance of turntables. It is named after the renowned Swiss manufacturer Thorens, which is known for its first-class audio equipment and especially its turntables.
Thorens bearing oil is used to lubricate the turntable's bearings, which play a critical role in the performance and life of a turntable. The bearings are the mechanical components that turn the platter and ensure that the vinyl record is played stably and accurately. Regular use of Thorens bearing oil can reduce friction in the bearings, resulting in smooth and consistent platter rotation.
Using Thorens bearing oil offers a number of benefits. First, it improves sound quality by reducing unwanted noise and vibration that can be caused by worn or unmaintained bearings. Smooth operation of the bearings helps to ensure that the pickup needle stays precisely in the grooves of the record, ensuring accurate reproduction of the audio material.
Second, Thorens bearing oil increases the life of the turntable. Proper lubrication of the bearings minimizes wear and tear, which in turn improves the durability of the entire system. A well-maintained turntable that is regularly serviced with Thorens bearing oil can provide you with many years of enjoyment from playing your record collection.

The application of Thorens bearing oil is simple. It is recommended that the oil be applied at regular intervals, depending on the frequency of use of the turntable. A small amount is applied to the bearings and carefully spread to ensure that all moving parts are adequately lubricated. It is advisable to follow the manufacturer's instructions and use only the recommended amount to avoid excessive oil accumulation.
