Sourcing records and CDs is complex. So that you always know where you stand, we show the delivery time on every item as precisely as possible. Our focus is on audiophile records and CDs – in close cooperation with Sieveking Sound, whose stock is shown in the shop on a daily basis.

For items not in stock, a direct stock check isn’t possible while you order. We check availability immediately afterwards and inform you without delay.

How to read the delivery time: The colour of the delivery van icon on the item matches the colour of the dot in the table.

ALEXANDER MONTY - Stir It Up: The Music Of Bob Marley (Ultra HDCD)

With Stir It Up, Monty Alexander returns to his Jamaican roots and pays tribute to his colleague Bob Marley. The combination of an American jazz rhythm section with a reggae band creates an innovative mix that does without vocals. This creates a lot of room for improvisation. Alexander blends jazz and reggae into a cohesive sound that points the way for one-world music without borders or labels.

Ultra-HD 32-bit mastering & PureFlection

This mastering format was developed by FIM and Five/Four Productions. Five/Four Productions is made up of the former Telarc production team who wanted to be able to master the best possible sound quality without regard to lower quality equipment. The Five/Four Productions team can look back on 16 Grammys and countless other awards.

It is re-digitized with 32 bit word length and sampling frequency adapted to the source material. When possible, 192 KHz is used, but lower sampling rates are sonically advantageous for some material. Ultra-HD 32-bit productions can be played back on any CD player with excellent sound quality.

The term PureFlection refers to the new way of producing the glass master for the latest FIM productions. This is not done in the pressing plant as part of the normal production process, but by a specialist on a specially modified machine for cutting Blu-Ray glass masters. Before the CDs are produced, the quality of the glass master is checked and the new booklets contain the test protocol of this check. The result is significantly lower jitter values and also lower error values than with usual industrial productions and the resulting sound image has an organic feel unlike many modern productions.

We recommend the use of "L'Art du Son" CD/DVD conditioner for yet another sonic improvement.
